Our Purpose
The Blue Mountains City Band is a brass band, sponsored by the Blue Mountains City Council and the Katoomba RSL. Its purpose is to play at civic events. These in recent years have been Anzac Day, Australia Day and Wintermagic. We also take part in competitions during the year and put on a Christmas concert at St Hilda's Anglican Church Katoomba
The Band's secondary goal is to nurture brass musicianship in a fun and rewarding environment. We welcome beginners of any age from Primary school up. It is never too late to take up a new instrument or to try for the very first time.
